TOHU Careers is a passion project of Naomi Manu and Dr Troy Coyle. Naomi (Auraki Group) and Troy (HERA) collaborated to breathe life into a values driven approach to career mapping. 

Traditional career applications are limited in their ability to provide guidance for a rapidly changing career landscape and the evolving nature of work. These applications also often lack the flexibility to align personal values with career choices, making them less effective in preparing rangatahi for the values-driven, human-centered focus of Industry 5.0.  

Values-driven career planning helps rangatahi find fulfillment and resilience in their work by connecting jobs to what they deeply care about. This approach is crucial for Industry 5.0, which emphasises human-centered innovation as it encourages careers that blend technology with values to positively impact society and the environment.

We wanted to develop a web application that would support rangatahi find meaningful work that aligns with their personal and cultural values and foster purpose-driven career paths.
