We collect your personal information in order to check that you are at least 13 years old or have permission from your whānau to use our web application. We also want to understand our user demographic to ensure Tohu remains a relevant and useful tool and  facilitate access to further resources and supports to help you achieve your career aspirations. We also collect this information to understand how users are aligning kaupapa Māori values with jobs.

Besides our staff, we may share this information with iwi in order to facilitate opportunities to support you achieve your career aspirations. We may also share this information with industry in order to identify ways in which industry can create culturally safe environments, prepare to attract talent and meet their workforce needs. We will share information without identifying you. We may also share information to protect you or someone else from harm. 

We do not sell your information. 

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter iwi affiliations, we'll be unable to work with iwi to identify resources to support you meet career aspirations.

The security, integrity and confidentiality of your information is extremely important to us. We keep your information safe by  storing it securely and only allowing our staff to access it.

We honour Māori data sovereignty, ensuring that all personal information is collected, stored, and shared in ways that align to principles of Māori data sovereignty.
